"I've found the young woman in me!"
At 198 pounds, Rossy Castro
had more urgent issues than
how she looked. “I had
serious weight-related health
problems,” she explains,
“and I wanted the discomfort
gone.” When she started
her ShapeWorks program,
Rossy’s first priority was to
improve how she felt, not to
drop pounds. “People said
I’d lose weight,” says Rossy,
“but I’d been through so
many failed weight-loss
plans, I didn’t believe them.”
“I looked at my ’fat
photo’ every time I
wanted junk food.”
To her astonishment, after
starting the program, Rossy
not only felt better–she was
losing weight. “I put an old,
‘fat photo’ of myself on my
refrigerator, and I’d look at
it whenever I wanted junk
food,” says Rossy. “I’d ask
myself, ‘Do you really need
that doughnut?’” With 60
pounds lost, Rossy feels like
a new person. “In my old
photos, I looked like I was
60. Look at me now!”*
“I feel great and I have the
energy of a 20-year-old.”
